Agrobel 2001 Ltd. was founded in 2001 as an agricultural company. It started off with just 300 hectares in the village of Brest situated in the north part of Bulgaria close to the town of Pleven. Year after year it expanded the farmlands to nowadays reach over 5,000 hectares. More than 20 percent of them are personal property, the rest being leased on long term contracts. Our key business strategy is to "stay in one place only", meaning that each new field acquired should be neighboring another already managed by the company. In this way our farm operations are localized and optimal control can be applied.

The key crops that we raise are wheat, sunflower seeds, maize and barley. The operational methods followed in our business are inspired by Western European and US farmers, which helps us to always achieve maximization. For the eight years we are in the agricultural sector, our crop yields have been among the best in the country both in quality and quantity per hectare. The company has developed numerous projects, which received funding from the European Union. Lately, it has been an approved beneficent of the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) program funding. It is also an actively involved member of the Association of the Bulgarian Grain Producers.

Agrobel OOD is part of a group of companies; each specialized in its own industry. One of the other affiliates is Belbultrans OOD, which deals with the trade and transportation of edible oils on the whole Balkan Peninsula with its own fleet of trucks and cisterns. The other is called Slav EOOD and is dedicated to all sorts of construction tasks like building demolition, excavation, road works, etc.
